Do I Trust You?

Do I really trust You, LORD?
Do I trust that You have everything that concerns me?
Do I believe that You are all-powerful and good?

Can I rest in that when I am following You, You will do all that You want to in my life?
Can I entrust You with my deepest hopes and dreams—believing that You gave them to me?

Do I live from the truth that,
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live,
but Christ lives in me...” so my dreams and desires are not what I live for?

But I live for YOU!

Do I live from His perspective that everything in life is for Him who is,
“worthy… to receive power and riches and wisdom,
and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
… Blessing and honor and glory and power
[are] to Him who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”?

Because if I do, I will be full of hope and joy regardless of what does
or does not come to fruition in my life.
Because LORD… You are the fullness of joy, my satisfaction, and fulfillment.

And, when I’m in You, I trust that You work all things after the counsel of Your will.

This is a holy place of faith and surrender.

May we stand, and believe, and contend for the dreams that You’ve given us,
as we focus on You—not the dream.
May we live upon Your altar, with and in You,
the One who is altogether worthy of all our trust.
