What is your compass for making decisions?

Let's look at sex.
God tells us to wait until marriage.
Satan lures us to indulge, to gratify yourself--with someone... or with porn.

What will each of these voices lead to in your life?

God loves us and has only good for us; a future and a hope. He wants to fulfill us through incredible relationships.
Satan wants to steal, kill, and ruin us. He wants to fill our lives with havoc and loneliness.
Whose camp do you want to be in?

If you have ever gotten sucked into sexual sin, you know that the pleasure he tempts you with is empty and fleeting.
So before you choose a quick fix, think about the end result.
Think about the cause and effect of what you’re choosing.

Why are we tempted to want anything satan offers?
He has no ability to give us the love that our hearts long for. Looking at porn will not fill that void. Why would we believe anything he tempts us with?
He hates us because we are made in God’s image, and we carry the glory and authority that he has always longed to possess... but never will.

Would you trust the word of a person who wanted to ruin you?
Would you hire a lifeguard who couldn’t swim?
Would you take financial advice from someone who was bankrupt?
Would you study under a foolish teacher?

No. None of these; not if you wanted to prosper.

The truth is that listening to the enemy will not produce anything good in our lives. However God, whose love abounds towards us, has only good for us.
“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

I want the fullness of joy, not the emptiness that comes from a counterfeit gratification.

Who do you want to follow?
Whose voice will you heed?
What result will you have?
