When I exalt Jesus in any part of my life,
I give Him a place to rule—there—in that particular area.
When I lift Him up in that place, He has free reign to do whatever He wants there.
And, since He’s always good, and only has good for me, I can trust Him to bring about His very best for me there.
So LORD, may I exalt You, especially in—
the tender places,
the broken places,
the waiting places.
For those are the places that I most need Your wisdom and direction to rule my life.
Those are the places that I don’t understand why things are happening the way they are…
or why things are not happeningthe way I think they should…
LORD, I lift You high and exalt You here—
in my longings,
in my pain,
in my places of hope deferred.
~ Come in and rule here.
~ Come and bring Your alignment, order, and goodness to these areas of my life
that need You to be exalted in them.
